Soft washing is a cleaning practice that uses low pressure to safely clean exterior surfaces of homes, businesses, and more. This method uses bleach, surfactant, and water mixed to the proper ratio for the surface it is being applied to. Bleach is the primary chemical used as the cleaning and disinfectant that kills the mold, mildew, algae, and other growths on the exterior of the property. Surfactant is a thick soap-like solution that allows the overall mix to stick to the surface longer allowing for longer dwell time for the bleach to kill organics. The water is used to dilute the bleach to the proper ratio for the surface it is being applied to making sure not to damage any material. Due to the lower pressure of soft washing, it is ideal to clean more fragile surfaces that a pressure washer could damage.
